School furniture is an integral part of a child’s learning. Child Care Centres and schools that offer a comfortable outlet for children to relax and focus on their learning. They can be colourful, comfortable and a great place for flexi-learning.
Are bean bags safe for kids?
The polystyrene beans when inhaled or swallowed can cause chocking. However, all Mooi Living’s bean bags have had the lid of the zipper removed so that children cannot undo the bean bag. Our fabric is also very strong and durable, so not easily breakable. Our gorgeous indoor bean bags also have an inner lining, so essentially, the beans are hidden behind two layers.
Mooi Living’s outdoor bean bags, which are incredibly popular with daycare centres, are made from either 100% Olefin or 600+ durable Polyester. Both fabrics are thick and super durable. Our most popular bean bag for early learning centres, the Universal Cushion, also has a Velcro lid that further secures the zip, hiding it and making it difficult for little hands to access.
If you are worried about polystyrene beans, then another option is to fill your bean bags with a foam filling. This is an incredibly comfortable alternative, and the foam can be bought online or from Clarke Rubber.
Bean bags can help teach kids their colours
Specifically, our Universal Cushion and Unplug Triangle bean bags are made in a range of bright colours. As a result, these bags can be used to teach your children their colours.
Bean Bags for Chilling
Bean bags are a great place for your children to relax and chill out. Whether it be for story time or to simply sit down and play – our bean bags will make for an incredibly comfortable place for your children to sit. Many of our existing childcare customers use their bean bags specifically for quiet time / quiet play. This direction teaches children boundaries, and gives them a specific place to retreat and relax.
Easy to Clean
Mooi Living’s range of bean bags are easy to clean. Out indoor range has the inner filling, so if required, the cover can be removed and placed in the washing machine on a gentle cycle. Alternatively, a warm damp cloth will help clean up small spots.
Our outdoor range is water resistant, so all you need to do is use a warm soapy cloth and wipe down the bean bag. For tougher stains, you can simply get a soft brush and gently scrub, then use a hose to rinse off. Then simply leave in the sun to dry.
Fundamentally, bean bags are a great option for early learning. We have aligned with many centres throughout Australia with great success. We also offer a trade program that offers education and early childcare learning providers with great discounts. Contact us for a trade discount.
