Can I use my pool float in the water?

Yes. Our Pool Floats are specifically designed for in-pool use. Each float features a built-in drainage system that allows water to escape easily, helping them dry faster once you’re done relaxing.

Are your colours exclusive to Mooi Living?

Yes. Our Outdoor Bean Bags and Pool Floats are custom-designed for Mooi Living, meaning our colour palette is unique to us. While you may see similar shades in the market, it’s unlikely you’ll find the exact same tones or fabric finishes elsewhere.

Will I get wet on the pool float?

Well they are a Pool Float, so YES there is a very good chance you will get wet if you are in the pool.

Are they heavy when wet?

Yes, they can be. The floats naturally absorb some water when in use, which adds weight. To make drying easier, we recommend gently pulling them partly out of the pool and allowing the drainage system to release the excess water. Do not try to lift the float while it’s full of water, as this can damage the seams or strain the fabric. You could also. hurt yourself.

Do the floats have inner bags?

Yes. All Mooi Living Pool Floats feature an inner mesh bag system, which keeps the beans securely contained while allowing water to flow through freely. This makes cleaning and refilling easy while maintaining their structure and comfort.

Can I remove and wash the covers?

Yes. The outer covers are removable and machine washable. Simply unzip the cover, remove the inner mesh bag, and gently machine wash on a cold, delicate cycle. Always air dry in the shade.

How do I look after my pool float?

To keep your float looking beautiful and lasting longer:Rinse off chlorine or saltwater after each use.Allow the beans and inner bag to dry completely before reassembling or storing — moisture can lead to odour or mould.Store in a shaded, dry area when not in use.Avoid dragging the float on rough surfaces to prevent wear on the fabric.

Do they come with filling?

No. Our Pool Floats are sold as covers only. It’s far more economical for customers to purchase bean filling from their local major retailer, such as Kmart, Big W, or Target. Including the filling would make freight costs very expensive due to the bulk of the beans.

Can I use foam filling?

Absolutely NOT!!!Foam absorbs water and can become extremely heavy, making it difficult to remove from the pool and could possible sink.It can also retain water, causing unpleasant odours and an increased risk of mould or mildew. Always use high-quality bean filling, which is lightweight, buoyant and allows proper drainage.

The Lana Lounger brings that laid-back, resort-by-the-pool feeling home. Designed as both a floating pool bean bag and outdoor lounger, it's made for long afternoons in the sun, slow weekends by the pool and those moments when you really don't want to get up.

Safety Information

Not a life-saving device. Always supervise children around water. Do not stand, jump or dive onto the Lana Lounger.

When removing the Lana from the pool, pull it partly out of the water first and allow excess water to drain through the mesh drainage system before moving it. Allow the inner bags and bean filling to dry thoroughly after use.

Rinse with fresh water after exposure to chlorine or salt water.

Child-safe zippers: To comply with Australian bean bag safety requirements, zipper pullers are removed. A paperclip can be used to open and close the zipper.

WARNING: Children can suffocate if bean bag filling is swallowed or inhaled. Do not allow children to climb inside the bean bag. A bean bag is not a safe sleeping surface for an infant under 12 months of age.

Filling Instructions

How to Fill & Shape Your Bean Bag

What's Included:

The Lana Olefin Cover (main cover)
2 x large white mesh Inner liners
1 x small white mesh inner liners

What you’ll need

700L of Polystyrene bean filling (not included)
Inner mesh liner included with your bean bag
A wide-mouth funnel (or make one from cardboard)
Scissors
A helper (highly recommended)
A contained space like a bath
A paperclip

Step-By-Step Instructions

1. Set up your space

Set up in a small, enclosed area such as a bathroom or over a plugged bath. This makes it easier to catch any stray beans. Keep windows and doors closed to prevent them blowing around.

Please keep children and pets out of the room - the beans are tiny and can be a choking hazard.

2. Open the child-safe zippers

All of our bean bags have safety zippers without a pull tab. You can slide a paperclip or safety pin through the eyelet to gently open the zip. Remove it once closed again.

3. Fill the INNER MESH LINERS first

Place the outer cover aside for now.

There are 3 x inner liners with the Lana Loungers

The small inner liner is placed at the headrest. Aim for approximately 100L.

The 2 x large inner liners are for the bottom and leg area and will need between 250 - 300L of bean filling in each.

To fill each white mesh inner liner, simply:

Open the inner liner and insert your funnel.

Cut a small corner off the bean filling bag (NOT OURS, THE PLASTIC BEAN FILLING BAG) so you can control the pour.

One person holds the liner steady while the other pours the beans in slowly.

4. Fill in stages - don’t rush it

Add some beans, close the liner temporarily, give it a gentle shake and pat to let the filling settle, and check the firmness.

You’re aiming for supportive, not rock-hard. Most people prefer the liner about 75–85% full so it can mould comfortably when you sit.

Do not fill the liner to full capacity - they will be too full.

5. Seal the liner completely

Once you’re happy with the fill level, zip the liner closed securely.

6. Insert the liner into the outer cover

Now place each of the the filled liners into the bean bag.

The smaller inner liner, needs to be lined up with the headrest. There is a Vicro wrap to hold it in place. Do it up the best you can (it does not have to be perfect).

We then recommend putting in the large inner liner at the other end, where there is another velcro wrap - again do it up the best you can, but it doesn't have to be perfect, just enough to hold in place.

Finally, place the final larger inner liner in the middle.

7. Close & shape

Zip the outer cover closed, then give the bean bag a few shakes, pats and rolls. Sit in it, lean back, move around a little - this helps the filling settle into place.

If you’d like it firmer, simply remove the liner and add a touch more filling. It’s always easier to add than to have to remove filling.

Shaping Tips

Make sure the inner liner sits neatly inside the cover with the seams and zippers lined up. You can usually tell where everything needs to go by matching the liner seams and zipper position with the seams on the outer cover.

You may need to gently push, pat and play with the liner for a little while to guide the filling into place and create the right shape. Think of it like fluffing a pillow - a little adjustment makes a big difference.

If the bean bag still isn’t holding its shape, it usually means either the liner isn’t positioned correctly or it simply needs a little more filling.
